Butlers Factory Tour

A tasty revamp to the journey of chocolate mastery

The concept for the Butlers Factory Tour identity centres on the idea of creating special moments and experiences that visitors can treasure long after their visit. It was important that this aligns with the wider Butlers master brand, which celebrates personal moments of indulgence to be savoured. Just as people collect keepsakes from meaningful events, places, and milestones in their lives, the identity suggests that a visit to Butlers is a moment worth remembering. The concept draws on the physical ways people preserve and cherish these experiences, reinforcing the idea that the Factory Tour is more than a visit — it’s a memory to take with you.

The Approach

Made to be experienced

Harnessing the idea of Butlers as creators of special moments, we can capture a series of vignettes throughout the tour that reflect warmth, human connection across all ages, playfulness and energy. These moments would subtly hero the product while elevating the sense of craftsmanship within the factory environment, bringing the story of the brand and its people to life.

Environmental

The environment embraces the playful side of the brand, transforming the space into a chocolate wonderland. Visitors immediately know they’ve arrived at Butlers when they’re greeted by an oversized golden ticket set against a vinyl-wrapped façade.

The reception bursts with colour, anchored by a striking Butlers chocolate waterfall that sets the tone for the experience ahead. From there, visitors go on a journey to see the factory floor, where vibrant tube signage and glimpses of the Chocolate Masters at work bring the craft to life.

Throughout the kitchen, museum and party room, rich brand touchpoints appear at every turn — illustrated graphics across the walls, layered signage, and finishes designed to echo the look and texture of chocolate itself. The result is an immersive environment that celebrates both the magic and the mastery behind every Butlers creation.
