Introduction

In this Privacy Policy we explain what we do with your personal data, whether we are in the process of a project for you, have a continuous relationship with you or receiving a service from you.

It describes how we collect, use and process your personal data. Your privacy is important to us and we are committed to protecting and safeguarding your data privacy rights.

This Privacy Policy applies to the personal data of our Clients, Prospects, Suppliers & Website users.

what kind of personal data do we collect?

Client Data – We need to collect and use information about you, or individuals at your organisation, in the course of providing you services. This type of information will include company name, your names(s), premises address, telephone numbers, email addresses and if applicable, your VAT registration number. This is all the data usually required for Client set up and is used to ensure our dealings run smoothly. The only way that we collect your personal data is directly from you. We do not share your information with third parties without your knowledge and if it is required to bring in a third party in order to complete your project. Examples of third parties are photographers, printers, illustrators and signage manufacturers.

Prospect Data – At this stage we will need basic information in order to provide you with a quotation. This information will include company name and/or, your name(s) and email addresses.

Supplier Data – From our Suppliers we need contact details of relevant individuals at your organisation such as names, address, telephone numbers and email addresses so that we can communicate with you. We also require financial details such as IBAN numbers in order to make payment to you for services rendered.

Supplier Data – When you visit our website there is certain information that we may automatically collect, whether you decide to use our services or not. This includes your IP address, the date and the times and frequency with which you access the website and the way you browse its content. You do have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies’ but you can usually modify your browser settings to decline cookies if you prefer.

We also have a shop on our website which can be used to purchase our yearly posters. We obtain the buyers information through Paypal, which includes the name and postal address.

We also collect your data to occasionally share our work, news and ideas through posting out our Gazette or through mailers directly into your inbox. This is not something we do often but it you would like to opt out of this please let us know on info@slaterdesign.com.

how can you access, amend or take back your personal data?

One of the GDPR's main objectives is to protect and clarify the rights of EU citizens and individuals in the EU with regards to data privacy. This means that you retain various rights in respect of your data.

To get in touch about these rights, please contact us on info@slaterdesign.com. We will deal with your request without delay, and in any event within one month unless stated otherwise. Please note that we may keep a record of your communications to help us resolve any issues which you raise.

Access Requests

You can ask us at any time for confirmation on what information we hold about you, you can request us to modify, update and delete such information (while we will permanently erase your data once it has gone past legal requirements (6 years) or where we receive a valid request from you, some of your data may still exist within our systems, for example it still exists on old archived system back up, this cannot be accessed by our current systems or staff). We may ask you to verify your identity and for more information about your request. If we provide you with this information we will not charge you for it unless your request is ‘manifestly unfounded or excessive’. We may also be in a position to refuse your request, if we do refuse you we will tell you why.
